What did everyone think of the kid with the turkey. Never been out in public. Surely he must have meant he never sang in public...but that is not what he said. Although with a few singing lessons (which they kept trying to get him to say he would manage to do - did ya'll get that?), a liitle age on him and a lot less nerves, there may be a voice in there. I liked him. First time I ever saw Simon warm up to someone whom he thought did not do well but just liked them. I liked that. I think they did it just so the kid could fly and go to Hollywood. He was a hoot!

No I don't think the ho and the mother ho were acting - just stupid. And the thing is with a little spit and polish and a few lessons in etiquette the ho would probably have been really cute - don't think voice lessons would help the ho tho.

Our local Fox station interviewed her and her "mom" the next night. They were quite indignant about the whole episode. The younger "of the two" had been spit and polished a little, but still had that black smudge around her eyes and the white lipstick. She said she was too mortified to attend school the next day after her AI tv appearance. Said the producers had encouraged her to apply more makeup, etc., and filmed her.

But then the interview turned sad when she talked about how she loved her mother and wished they had not made fun of her. I agree.

Oh gee - that is sad. I guess they really weren't acting and I guess I shouldn't make fun of them - just got caught up in the hoopla.

Oh, I was right there too! Maybe even 1st in line - all 3 of us in this house. But, once I saw the local news, I felt so sorry for her. And deep down, we all knew that she (they) weren't acting. But the producers really will do anything to get an embarrassing segment.

 What is the deal with all the guys made up like women? Are they just letting them through for ratings? The dude with the magic carpet was just embarrassing. And what about the airforce guy who seduced Paula with the song and then ran out to his wife! Aye aye aye.

I was a little shocked at Paula's behavior considering the drama of that Corey scandal!

I admit it - I cannot watch this show - or most reality shows for that matter. Too many people in this world willing to make complete fools of themselves trying to get noticed and find fame.

i'm with you. i must be one of the few people on the planet who has never seen an episode of survivor, bachelor, idol, or any of the others. i saw about 5 mins of fear factor one time and just about gagged. although i guess intervention is a reality show and i do watch it faithfully.

I thought there were more than a few mothers who should have said to their darlings a long time ago, "No, sweetie, you can't sing. Keep it in the shower."

Instead they feed false dreams to their kids and let them make a**es of themselves for our entertainment. That's mother love?

Me too! That whole scene was totally bizarre--just like Randy kept saying!
I didn't get some of the other people either, but evidently some of the judges comments offended some groups :dunno:
