I missed Idol last night. I forgot it was on and fell asleep and woke up at 8:10 and thought of it, but went back to sleep. Hadn't slept well the past two nights, until last night.

Sorry you're not sleeping well.:sosad: It was pretty uneventful except the 68 year old man, whose friend? died of cancer 2 days before the audition. Because he was too old under the rules of the show, he had a petition signed by I don't know how many people saying he should be able to sing. I think his friend believed in him, started the petition and then died 2 days before! He had Paula in tears. I believe he was better than 99% of the people on last night!

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
I loved that part with the man who sang the song in honor of the woman he said he shared his life with for the past 20 years. Of course, I cried! We watch American Idol as a family every season. Although I do think the try-outs are getting meaner and I don't like to support that when it's so mean at times. But we watch it anyway...

So now the final 24 are chosen. I think of the last two girls and guys they kept the wrong ones. I like the girl they chose but she just doesn't have the git up and go for AI. And Sundance.....I don't think so.

I seem to remember they mentioned something about the Beatles knocking him out of the #1 song so it may have been the 60's. In fact, I think I remember the song. I'm pretty old. :D
No, you're not. I've heard that song dozens of times. The lyrics are lame, but so were the early Beatles stuff. Lame-ooh but catchy and fun.

Yea, he is a sweet guy but did not do well in Hollywood. He will probably change his looks now.

One can only hope.

The last female singer cut on Idol should have made it. Rip off! Last male singer as well. Sundance was fortunate, because that other guy sitting next to him had talent.
