Thanks. I think that was it. I am going to see if there is anything on him. He supposedly had a hit with that song. The film clip looked like it was from the 50's. Well, the song is from the 60's. He recorded it for a movie called The Commitments. There is stuff all over the web about him.

I seem to remember they mentioned something about the Beatles knocking him out of the #1 song so it may have been the 60's. In fact, I think I remember the song. I'm pretty old.

I know he's probably totally cannon-fodder in Hollywood, but I'd love to see HomelessCastroJesus make it through to the public voting rounds.

I absolutely agree! He will definitely make it interesting. Wonder why his hair didn't bother me as much as Sundance's chest hair!

I was only 5 years old when he did that song. That is right, the Beatles did knock him out of the #1 spot. As to you saying you are pretty old, don't believe that. Now I know you aren't. You are two years younger than my husband.

I love that they let the guy sing who went on last night whose partner/friend/wife? not sure of the relationship, had died before the audition. He sang an incredible tribute. I was hoping they would let him compete and move on to the next round. I did get emotional watching him and listening to his song.

I missed Idol last night. I forgot it was on and fell asleep and woke up at 8:10 and thought of it, but went back to sleep. Hadn't slept well the past two nights, until last night.
