American Idol Season 6

Is it live in Birmingham? It looked like they were showing clips from there. Maybe from last year? This is my first time watching. I know it seems heartless at times, but there are some great singers as well. I think that one of the comments made last night about "It wasn't about pretty good singers making it but they are only looking for THE American Idol" kind of summed it up. I did really really feel bad for the African American woman who was kind of plump and short. I thought she was great. I hope she doesn't give up!

I know a couple of people I wish would go to Birmingham if it is live next week!

Darn, there are 2 local singers I wished could have gone. Whether or not they would have is another story!

Did not make it past the first audition...and she wasn't on tv either. They did not remember anyone who was on the show Both of them had a good time which is what it needs to happen. Enjoy the moment!!

I know an OWC student who did go up to B'ham to audition, but didn't make it very far into the rounds. And he probably wasn't the only one from these parts.

I cannot stand that on his chin. I hope it is shaved off also. Does anyone remember what his dad's first name was who was a singer? He did some song called Treat Me Right. I was going to try and look up something on his father.

Thanks. I think that was it. I am going to see if there is anything on him. He supposedly had a hit with that song. The film clip looked like it was from the 50's. Well, the song is from the 60's. He recorded it for a movie called The Commitments. There is stuff about him on the web.
