American Idol Season 6

I'm hoping for Lakisha and Melinda (it's a tie) right now. None of the men did much for me. The guy who shaves his head and wears a hat could do OK but his image just doesn't work for me. I like the bebop guy who did some reggae last night.

I heard on the radio or TV that Antonella was offered $250,000 to host Girls Gone Wild and $500,000 for some other job already (before she was voted off yesterday). But I don't know if this is true. I may have heard this on the E! channel, which unfortunately we enjoy at our house. We consider it therapy after a long day.

We heard the same thing.

Paula, I heard that too on the radio this morning. Of course it was followed by lots of jokes...none of which I can remember. But, I'm with you on LaKisha and Melinda. I like Gina too.

And I think the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon should work with Sanjaya. He's young, and I think the young girls are keeping him on American Idol. He seems like a sincerely nice kid with good (not great) talent. He could be in one of those TV shows about high school. Although I'd like to see him voted off AI, I'd also like to see him gain some success for the risk he has taken and his goodwill and innocence he brings to AI.

I've said before, I was never a big DR fan..and the songs, well, Dreamgirls had better songs, but I agree about tonight....hated most of the songs. My prediction: LaKisha and Melinda in the final. I thought LaKisha was wonderful tonight.

I think the choice of Diana Ross tipped the scales in favor of the girls. How many men actually sing Diana Ross? I liked Melinda, Gina, Phil, Chris Richardson and I really liked Sanjaya tonight. I was waiting for Diana to call and make Simon eat his words. Even if you don't like his voice, he is adorable. Chris worked the crowd and is a great performer!
The show needed an uptempo theme to it, Diana just didn't go over well!l
