Buckeye Country
I don't think so. While Blake's performance was off key in many spots, Chris' performance was more nasally than any country singer (even if he says nasally is a style of singing). When Doolittle sang that country song, it was easy to see that you don't have to be nasally to sing country.

Phil did sing well last night, but Blake has been spot on from the get go, and that is likely to get him more votes than Phil as we near the end. But who knows? Chris was voted off last year, and he could have won it all. Blake has that Coldplay voice going for him and he is fairly stylish, where Phil and Chris have no sense of style (nor do I ;-)). Next off the show is Chris, then Lakisha, Phil, Blake, and the young girl who can sing and has the cute shy smile. Doolittle will take it all. She has been spot on the entire way, even her first performance. As I said before, she is already the AI. I am so glad that Simon finally got over the hump that the AI has to weigh 119 pounds and look really hot in outfits which show a lotta of skin. Many great singers are not necessarily full of looks -- they are full of soul. When I'm listening to the radio or CDs, I'm not caring about what the singer looks like, as long as they are not so hideous looking that they are distracting. A good singing voice can make an average person look beautiful. ;-)

Sangina actually has a pleasing voice, but I don't think he has any idea of what to do with it. He also has a little bit of showmanship on stage, and one day when he puts it all together, he might do well.

Grayt post SJ, I agree with all but one thing. I do think there's a possibility that Jordin could win more votes than Melinda in the end. Blake is going to come out of this just like Chris D did last year. He won't need to win to be sucessful.

Sanjaya is such a sweetie. I thought he should have been voted off weeks ago, but he has handled himself well -- he just had fun with it all. I liked how teary-eyed he got -- seems like a sweet kid/young man. I hope Disney or Nick hires him to do something and keeps him out of trouble.

I couldn't have said it any better myself. He is a sweet kid, I think. I only wish the best for him. He'll do well somewhere. :)

What I meant about they got it right was the bottom 3 was their bottom 3, not that they deserved to be there. (does anyone understand what I just said?) However, now that it is down to the top 6, 2 good people will be in the final 2 every week. It will be sad to each one go, but all of them will have record deals whether they are good enough or not. Including Sanjaya. I predict the final 3 will be Melinda, Jordin and Blake.

With the dumbmasses voting, anything is possible, anything except Sangina winning it all. ;-)

Paula, you have to be careful about voting for second place people, because if enough people do what you are talking about, votes which should be going to Doolittle, will be stolen, and the real winner may end up getting voted off. ;-) If everyone votes for the real winners each week, Lakisha will get past Chris and Phil.
Oh yea and that might be true if you only had one vote but you have unlimited votes so I vote for everyone I want to stay and more for the one who I think is in danger. Am I pathetic or what?????!!!!!

I definitely can see how voting strategically can end up working against the people I like best and put some of the ones I like least ahead. But, I really like Lakisha and see her as deserving as Melinda and Jordan. I guess I'll have to see what they all do next week (hmmm... guess that's what I'm supposed to do). But Lakisha moves me even more than the other two because of the way she carries herself and her story, as well as her voice. She seems to be experimenting more with her choice of songs and dress. In any case, she'll get a music contract whatever happens and definitely deserves it. I guess I'd cast multiple votes, some for Lakisha, Melinda and Jordon since I now know I could have multiple votes.

I like Lakisha too Paula. Something about her personality makes me want to see her go all the way in the business. I hope so. I hope she gets a gig like Jennifer Hudson.
Love Melinda and Jordin too. But I think that if I bought an album, it would probably be Jordins as I prefer her voice, but I think all three are terrific.
