Anthony Bourdain Sighting

I was out this morning running errands and around 10:30 I saw him walk out of a deli with a cup of coffee in hand. I was getting out of my car and he was about 30 or so feet from me. I did a double take. It was just the two of us in the parking lot, so I got a good look. He was wearing sunglasses ( and it was cloudy) a black short wool coat, carpenter pants and looked like he just rolled out of bed. His hair was all curly.
I need glasses, but it was definitely him as I was able to see his earring as well, and that confirmed it for me.
I think he needs to change his sneakers though. I never saw hoofies that big in my life.
I was going to ask him for autograph, but he looked so sleepy, I didn't want to bother him.

I would have been tempted to at least say "Hey Tony--keep up the good work."
But I probably wouldn't have, especially if he looked that wasted. ;-)

I thought they were sno-shoes at first. That's how big his feet looked. He looked like he borrowed someone's clothes.

I almost didn't think it was him. I thought, geez, he looks familiar, but then the baggy clothes made him look so much heavier. But the face was definitely him. Then how many men with all gray hair that tall have an earring?
I once literally bumped into Richard Gere in Greenwich Village, and he looked a lot like Bourdain did. I thought Gere was a street vagrant.
Must have been a realy rough night.
