Yes, also like the gasses from a new car's interior, and not too different from the fumes in a freshly painted house, or a clear coated wooden floor.

I miss my grandma's big ole' feather mattress. She had two have them stacked up together. I remember when I was little, I had to jump to get in that bed, and when I did it just hugged me, and surrounded me with love. I sure do miss it. They don't make them like they used too!!!!

Good memories! I did that too. I now have a single size body pillow made with the feathers from grandma's feather bed. I think they're rather pulverized by now though.

There was a thing on the news this morning that said 10% of the weight of a 10 year old mattress is composed of dust mites, dander, and skin cells, etc....
