On the Nole board I belong to, there is a story that, when a certain rival of both our teams took the field in the Citrus Bowl one year, the guys who carry the flags spelling the team's name got out of order. One of our mods now lovingly refers to them as the "gatros."
Well, it should be a helluva game. I have been wanting to play you guys for some time. I think the two teams last met in 1974 (this was prior to FSU becoming a power). Alabama won something like 8-7.

I think the Georgia Dome would be more of a neutral ground. Why is it that Florida teams think that Jacksonville is a neutral ground?

The AD's from both schools (Dave Hart and Mal Moore) had numerous meetings/conference calls about this game. For whatever reason, Jacksonville was agreed upon. I'm sure Atlanta was considered, but I am guessing the Georgia Dome had a conflict the day they wanted to play the game.
As long as the ticket split is 50/50, I have no problem with the location. Should be a fun trip. Hopefully, I can get in a round of golf at Sawgrass while I'm there.
Not to sound like I'm beating my chest here, but I wish more SEC teams would schedule games like this. Great for national exposure and great for recruiting.
