Lily Blythe

Blythe is the family name I always intended use. I like Lily with it.

I always wanted twins named Blythe and Bonnie...

At the end of the '80's-something John Hughes flick "She's Having a Baby," there is this wonderful list of baby names. I tried to find it on YouTube, but failed...

I would stick with a name derived from your own family.

Imagine when the kid grows up and says, "How did you choose my name?"

And you will say, "Well, sweetie, your first name is Lily because your daddy and I thought of you as a beautiful, pure flower...and your middle name came from a guy named Skunkape on a message board."

Check a few websites of top baby names- if you see your choice in the top 10 or 20, you can bet there will be quite a few duplicates when kids get to school. Kate's preschool class had 3 girls with the same first name, so they all had to go by their last initial.

Until we moved here, Will was one of 2 Wills in a school of 1300 kids, but if you looked at the top 10 names for 1992, there were LOTS of kids with those names.
