Lilly Anne or Lilly Marie. They just sound right coming out of the mouth.

I vote Lilly Anne, Lilly Jane, or Lilly Claire. My second child was going to be Claire Anne until he came out with that thing. :D I like the one syllable names with Lilly the best. Aren't you so glad you asked???

Check a few websites of top baby names- if you see your choice in the top 10 or 20, you can bet there will be quite a few duplicates when kids get to school.
My peagirl is always the only Bryn in her class, grade, school, which I love on one hand, but...don't even ask her how many times a new teacher or receptionist at a doc's office has called her Bryan. :pissed:

OMG, can I relate to that one. You know my daughter's name, Philippa. Doesn't it look like it has an A at the end? Duh! I can't even count the number of times the receptionist at the doctor/dentist/school has looked at me like I'm a wicked mother while they're saying "You named your daughter Philip? :yikes: A boy named Sue didn't have it any worse than this girl named Philippa!!!

No matter what name you give the kid, someone will mix it up through mispronunciations, typos etc!

In high school some computer or data entry clerk managed to combine my name, common nickname, and added a few extra letters. I ended up on some mailing list w/ this new name and there were hilarious results.

Dad wanted me to take the NAACP up on their scholarship offer and teach them a lesson about stereotyping .

So true...older people pronounce Dylan's name Die-lynn:blink: WTH. Sam has a pretty common name but believe it or not all through elem school there was never another Samantha in her whole school. There are a couple in middle school though.

Ok, here are mine. I like the way these combinations flow...

Lily Stacia

Lily Zara (means blooming flower)

Lily Michele

Lily Suzanne

Lily Justine (that might be too popular/trendy right now)

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! :D

I love the name Lily. I like Lily Grace and my niece's name is Grace (Gracie) I just love that name and word. I also love the idea of using family names....had I ever had children (of course it would have been a girl) her name would have been Savannah Elizabeth after my two great grandmothers. I like the tradition of passing a family name down from generation to generation.

I have a nephew named Bryn, we are very Irish  and he NEVER runs into any other classmate with that name!

As some of you may (or may not) know, Red Rocket and I are expecting our third child early November. We have decided to name her Lily, but can't really come up with a mddle name. Any suggestions?

Ooooo, Bryn. How pretty. What dork could mess up a beautiful name like that? My daughter's name is Kaelyn, but tons of people call her Caitlin, Kate Lynn or Kellen. I feel kind of bad because I know she's going to have problems her whole life with people pronouncing it properly.:sosad:

(By the way, should anybody meet her and say hi, it's Scottish and pronounced KAY-linn. No brouge, though. She'll just look at you weird.)
