I don't get those either, BR. But I just found one of my favorites hidden among all the others on my iPod that would be great Beach Music. It's hard to find. "Wild Thing" by Sister Carol. I just added that to my beach music.

Wow Paula - you've really racked up (read traded up) on the Kodak cameras! I've always liked Best Buy (that's where I bought my XM Satellite radio) and reading about your experience tells me that they stand behind their Extended Service Plans - this is good to know for future reference. Glad your iPod is working well for you - I doubt I will ever try one, but would encourage anyone to give serious consideration to a satellite radio if they are thinking about an iPod; MP3 or the like.

I sure did. I was surprised when they gave me the new little digital model -- it's quite nice. Best Buy used to be quite bad in terms of following through on their service plans. But the one that is near us has been very reliable for about 4 years. It's sad that we need them, but we almost always buy the service plan now when we shop for equipment. And I have a photo of Mr. and Mrs. Unplugged (taken with that little camera) along with a lot of other people at Amore in early May at our SoWaller get-together but I haven't had a chance to post it yet... (and when I post photos, they come out about 1 inch X 1 inch...

Any breezy jazz tune playing on channel 71 on my portable XM satellite radio!

I just read an article describing how 'fragile' iPods are, and how that has created many new companies that specialize in repairing them. I have no idea how true this is, but the article was very interesting.

I'm not sure where I would find the time to load my CD collection to an iPod or MP3 player - I hear there are companies that will do that for you also - for a price

The nice thing is that it's all backed up on your computer, too -- or if the computer crashes it's on the iPod.

Apple has gotten into bed with the music industry on digital rights management. iTunes will copy from the PC to the iPod but not the other way.

Fortunately, that's not a big deal. You can do it yourself with Windows Explorer - the PC just sees the iPod as a removable USB drive, just like standalone backup drives or USB memory sticks. Or you can download a nice utility. I like one called PodUtil. Go to www.iLounge.com where they have a nice tutorial on the whole topic of moving music from iPod to PC.
