I understand what you're saying and certainly understand what you mean. There are & always will be hardcore Stones fans. You at least recognize the Beatles' talent.

:dunno: Lots of us recognise the talent even if the band mentioned isn't a favorite. And every band has hardcore fans (or they should if they're worth their salt  ).

BR--how did you ever get 5th row tickets to the Beatles!?? I'm impressed.
My Dad was a successful businessman in Atlanta and was friends with many well-connected people. When Daddy was alive, I had the opportunity to go backstage with many celebrities, including Diana Ross and The Supremes on New Year's Eve at The Fountainbleu in Miami and James Brown at the Flamingo in Las Vegas.

My parents didn't approve of the Beatles. One day my mom chased me around the house with scissors, threatening to cut my long hair and saying that the Beatles were causing me to be rebellious - LOL.

Talking about the Stones, I stood in line overnight for Bridges to Babylon - oops - I meant Voodoo Lounge. Due to lucking out in the ticket lottery, we got seats for 4 right in front of the "lounge" (if you went, you know what I mean). Our best friends and I arrived and almost wet our pants when we saw how close to the stage we were - we started screaming like sillly teenagers. My husband's flight into ATL was late due to fog, and the CEO of his company offered to drop him off at the Georgia Dome so he wouldn't miss much of the concert. It was hilarious to see someone at a Stones concert in a dark suit/white shirt/tie.

This is gross, but my brother's definition of good seats is if the artist farts, you're close enough to smell it. We were that close to Mick.

I went with some friends to see the Stones in London many moons ago. We got there to find we had bogus tickets. A couple of us got in, but the guy who purchased the tickets had to sit outside and cry!

So to answer the original question, real men roll with the Stones.

Will have to pass this along to hubby! :clap_1:

I've seen the Stones a couple of times--once in Dallas many, many, years ago at the Cotton Bowl. All I really remember that it was really HOT! and that my friends kept trying to steal my wide brimmed hat! Then, we saw them at the TX. Motor Speedway a few years ago. They were great. But, what I most remember about that night is we got stopped on the way home by a small town policeman who was young enough to be my kid, and he asked where we were going and where had we been. Then he asked if we'd been smoking pot!! :rotfl: I said, "Honey, I'm old enough to be your mother....do I LOOK like I've been smoking pot!???" :rotfl: No ticket was issued.

I would have to say that the Stones music is sexy. I hear a Beatles song, and sexy is not a adjective that comes to mind. Catchy, cute, but not sexy.
