Lots of us recognise the talent even if the band mentioned isn't a favorite. And every band has hardcore fans (or they should if they're worth their salt
).My Dad was a successful businessman in Atlanta and was friends with many well-connected people. When Daddy was alive, I had the opportunity to go backstage with many celebrities, including Diana Ross and The Supremes on New Year's Eve at The Fountainbleu in Miami and James Brown at the Flamingo in Las Vegas.Suncat said:BR--how did you ever get 5th row tickets to the Beatles!?? I've seen the Stones a couple of times--once in Dallas many, many, years ago at the Cotton Bowl. All I really remember that it was really HOT! and that my friends kept trying to steal my wide brimmed hat! Then, we saw them at the TX. Motor Speedway a few years ago. They were great. But, what I most remember about that night is we got stopped on the way home by a small town policeman who was young enough to be my kid, and he asked where we were going and where had we been. Then he asked if we'd been smoking pot!! :rofl:I said, "Honey, I'm old enough to be your mother....do I LOOK like I've been smoking pot!???"
