Best Rock concert you've EVER been to

FYI- jimmy buffet, frank sinatra, Hank Williams Jr, and Elton John are not in the "rock concert category."

The second time was in Chicago at the auto show place, forget what it's called right now.
Airie Crown Theatre (That's where I saw Bowie and a few Nutcrackers)

There was almost a riot because they left the stage after playing just a couple songs. Later someone said he had just found out about his son. I thought they were po'd cuz someone was shooting off bottle rockets indoors. Maybe it was both.

When I saw them it was at Soldier Field they were mere specks on the horizon (same with The Who). Even with binoculars, they were still ant-sized. Plus it was probably about 95 degrees. I don't like outdoor concerts. The sound is absolutely horrible. I'd rather stay home and listen to the album.


I am done with concerts unless it's in an enclosed arena with air conditioning. Even a table and chairs is nice. Those days of being crushed & tampled when the doors open for general admission are long gone for me! (I'm so glad my son plays classical.)

because I was younger when I saw AC/DC than I was when I saw PF.

I actually remember the entire show, the weather, the date, the Varsity, etc. I'm a rare breed at a Pink Floyd or Grateful Dead show. I figure that someone needs to remember how great the actual show is.

Judas Priest. He rode out on a motorcycle and blew up the stage at the end.

Now that is a rock concert.

I dispute Hank, Jr. He may be country, but he's pretty heavy on the rock side of it.

I have to agree, Hank Jr. can be considered in the rock catagory. I despise all things country music and was forced to see one of his concerts. What a talent.

AC/DC was the best for me. We were so close to the stage that Angus was sweating on us and Brian flew right over our heads while swinging on the bell.
