I'm puzzled by this tweet by Palin:

Show photo as warning to others seeking America's destruction. No p***y-footing around, no politicking, no drama;it's part of the mission," she said.

Does she really think releasing the photo will discourage suicide terrorists?

In a speech, she also reverted to some of her "beat poetry":

Don't do kind of that birth certificate whole mocking of Americans for asking for it,"

Right here!
Another fair point (presuming you mean there is no point in me posting the videos).
I acknowledge that I was hurling rocks.

I have been listening to ignorant buffoons talk about the smart, ballsy, American President I voted for as being a weak, socialist, Kenyan for two years - fueled by morons like Sarah Palin. So when he came out shining this week because he took the high road on the birth cerificate issue and executed a risky executive order that killed Bin Laden-

and then I heard that he didn't deserve the credit meanwhile I heard that Bush did,,,

Well- yes, I wanted to throw rocks. Truth be told the fools I am describing make me crazy.

So rather than literally throwing rocks, I busted out some telling videos to support my point.

Sigh.

K. I feel better now. Carry on. lol

I've learned to expect rocks thrown from certain memebers Geo, but you generally aren't one of them from my experience. :) Hope you feel better.

You're reading Palin tweets and trying to apply logic.

Don't think we should show the photos. "Mess with us, we'll hunt you down and kill you", can stand alone when we've publicly announced it and dumped the body into the sea. Frankly, I find it crazy that anyone WANTS to see photos of it.

Did we not provide intelligence and material support during the the Russian incursion into Afghanistan to him? Don't get me wrong, I supported our level of involvement during that time but as a country we do have some responsibility and President Reagan was the leader. But as your opinion to my opinion is BS my opinion of your opinion is the same.

That may be the most strained piece of reasoning I have seen. Have you ever heard the line " the enemy of my enemy is my friend?" So we supported Afganis and others who resisted a totally unprevoked invasion by the communist Russians who by the way were our mortal enemies at the time? And if you supported that level of involvement then does that make you responsible on some level for bin Laden?
I often agree with you but sometimes you go way off the reservation. Your attack on President Reagan is one of those times. Just saying.

Yes, I do to a certain extent believe I bear some responsibility. That still does not change my opinion. Sometimes "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" does not justify our support. I understand we could never have foreseen the consequences of our actions, but it is what it is, and because of our failures he and his organization have killed thousands above those here in America.

That type of thinking is just plain destructive. Would you respond to a fire if you knew ahead of time that you would be hurt or killed? Of course not. But the fear will cause you not to act, which harms far more people than you. We acted in what was our best interests at the time. Failure to act would have cost us far more. So how is it profitable to try and blame anyone 30 years later for actions that you agreed with at the time and were obviously the best option available? Would you rather we have invaded ourselves and bogged up in a long ground war at best and started a nuclear exchange at worst?
Ultimately Bin Laden is responsible for his own actions and received what was coming to him. End of story.

Poor Bin Laden, he didn't really mean to mastermind the killing of all those people, he was a victim of short sighted foreign policy! Instead of shooting him in the head, we should have checked him into a psychiatric ward and tried to rehabilitate him. It wasn’t his fault! :violin:
