William and his brother Harry serve in their countrys military and seem to be pretty decent young men. There is nothing to worship but nothing to hate either.
I'm sure William & Harry are pretty decent young men (although Harry's wearing a Nazi uniform to a friend's costume party was certainly a lapse in judgement).
Obviously, the concept of "royalty" doesn't grate on others like it grates on me.
It bothers me that some people are considered "royal" just because of who their parents are, while the rest of us are "common" -- even people who have achieved real greatness in their lives through talent, hard work, intelligence, etc.
I'm insulted by this idea & think everyone else should be too.
The concept of "royalty" violates my basic ideas of fairness & egalitarianism.
It's an old-fashioned concept that modern-day folks, should reject out of hand.
Most of the time, the issue is out of sight & out of mind, but nowadays one can't turn on the tube w/out being inundated w/ all the details of The Royal Wedding.
I ignore it best I can, but it's hard to avoid.
The fact that many (most?) Americans are totally gaga over this "royal" event puzzles & disappoints me.
I'm surprised that more posters here aren't put off by the concept of "royalty;" but, hey, that's just me.
