Have you considered that it is because the very first paragraph of your very first post on the 3rd page of a thread full of thoughtful posts started with (in essence)-

I'm not going to put myself through the pain of reading what anyone else had to say but I want you to hear my ideas (and I insincerely apologize if I end up wasting your time by repeating what someone else might have already contributed)...

I recognize I'm about as welcome here as head lice, and I'm not going to win the internet message board Prom king at the next get together, but the fact that I've been called angry and foolish without anyone addressing any of my points, or addressing where I was angry or foolish, pretty much solidifies my argument. When cross examination consists of nothing more than emoticons, I'm confident with my case before judge and jury.

But I'd venture to guess that your opening statements helped to cloud the lens through which folks viewed your points before they made such negative remarks...

In all honesty, I really enjoy reading what 6th gen has to say on any given political topic--Yes, on the library shelf of political threads, he tend to be the bookend on the right, and that is a good thing. 6th gen totally anchors any discussion in that regard, particularly for this left leaning Board person! He is always a good read IMO.

hnoo and IBD, thanks. I'd disagree that I'm the right bookend, based on my positions on things such as drug legalization and immigration, to name a few, but I'm happy I'm at least coherant to some.
