I didn't watch the video, (and am glad it was removed from SoWal.com) but recording beatings isn't new. I'm not sure why this video is getting attention, when plenty of other beating videos exists on the net. Some people need to get their butts kicked, and others are being picked on, needlessly. I'd like to see videos of bullies getting their butts kicked by the nerdy geeks -- sweet revenge.

Anywho, once these videos are posted online, and names identify the people doing the beatings, their future at getting into college, getting a job, running for public office, getting a girlfriend or boyfriend, getting married, etc, will be more difficult. Shame will come later, even though kicking someone might be really fun in the heat of the moment.

Dont you think making this a federal case is a bit over the top? :love:I took a few minutes to view it, stupid does come to mind, Felony does not. You really think this justifies Life in prison? Those charges will be pleaded down unless they have prior's. Keep federal cases for those who deserve it,,, keep this one local.

Sounds like your not so happy this fine day, take a deep breath and slow down.

what those girls did was despicable and atrocious...i'm not at all justifying their actions...but this happens in practically every middle and high school in America...I went to public school...and what happened to her was pretty light from what i've seen in my experience...or maybe fights don't happen anymore.....I'm just playing devil's advocate...

Thanks for the input. There really are no buts for me in this case. Maybe if it was cracked down on earlier we wouldn't be seeing so much of it now. :dunno: I dunno. Are you saying we should be more tolerant or not speak of it or what? Yes, it happens way too much. Who are you advocating again? That was just evil behavior, not normal in any way, in my family or upbringing.

In a nice place
That kind of thing happened to me all the time when I was growing up. I still get freaked out when I go over a friend's house.

all i'm saying is that it's interesting how the media and the judicial system jump on some cases and not on others...when...sadly...I think this kind of behavior is rampant...it just happens to be cheerleaders this time...

Fact: (according to me, that is)
During adolescence boys take lots of showers and girls are cliquish & mean.

I was mean and mad all the time in my teens, however, I never hit another person (except my sister):D

This does happen all the time, and kids are not only a product of their parents, they are also a product of society...a society that's decided to reward such behavior with umpteen thousand Views on Youtube, the highest score on the most violent video games ever, and an economy that makes it impossible for parents to play an active role in their children's lives because they work 16 hours a day.

Just my opinion.
