That is the problem in Montgomery. It is the same people committing crimes. They don't ever lock them up.

Oh definately in your case. Sorry, I should've clarified. The ones that BR referred to stealing clothes and things they liked seemed like cleptos. I think she said she knew one of them.

I hope the police can do something about the crime. I loved growing up there.

Thank god that they are all ok, things can be replaced, people can't. This kind of story just ticks me off, why do people have to violate other folks security and just a week away from Christmas...........

A gal told me last week she had taken her dog out for the "evening potty stroll"- out in her backyard. She lives in a big McMansion neighborhood- big target at Christmas. Anyway, a guy had been hiding in the bushes right smack up against her house, and jumped out and practically ran over her getting away. She was hoping he learned that there is activity around her house, even in the dark, and he won't be back!!

tis the season for burglary - the paper had listed ways to be safe and protect you home and belongings. seems there are two rings working around here now; one is breaking into homes, the other is going around stealing mail. don't you love criminals? when i was little our house was in the country and the closest neighbors were my aunt and uncle who live a quarter mile away. my dad went pheasant hunting in the midwest a lot and always told me and mom if someone breaks in, shoot to kill, then drag 'em inside.
