Burial or Cremation?

I would love to be Cremated and have my ashes mixed in concrete and turned into an artificial reef and put it in the gulf of mexico. I was watching animal planet and saw that a family had there dog cremated and turned into a artificial reef, For my love of the beach I though that would be a good thing.
Animal Planet said that it will be there for a couple years then disintegrate and stay flowing through the ocean forever!

What is it that all of you would like to do will yourself...?

yet. I kind of think The Body Farm is kind of interesting too. At least you're out in nature and nature takes care of your remains. Some people think it's gross because of the maggots ,etc., but the oven is kind of the same to me. It just kind of . I do like your idea though. It makes the oven seem not so bad if you can go in the ocean next. It's just our shell, right?

good question kid. I think cremation makes good sense to me. anything is better than being processed at a funeral parlor... :shock: and all that goes with it.

but, I haven't thought much further than that! where shall the ashes go?

Dump my ashes on the 50 yard line at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Then take some to the Supper Club. Dump a little around Vestavia, then go to NYC and dribble around the West Village. Then go to LA and dump the rest at Winstons. Fair enough?

I am all about cremation. Our 2 1/2 year old daughter died over a year ago. We had her cremated- there was really no other choice in our opinion. We couldn't imagine putting her tiny body in a casket and leaving her in a cemetery- in the cold, etc... I think a lot of people don't understand decisions/situations until they are in the mix of it. We have some of her cremains in a locket, and I wear it. I love it- I feel her close to me. My husband and I both want to be cremated and then have our cremains mixed with our daughter's. Then I have no idea where our cremains will be placed- I guess our son can determine that! I don't really care b/c I know I will be in a MUCH better place... I do like Kimmifunn's idea of Jordan-Hare stadium- that would be a-okay with me!

We all love the Gulf/beach- so that is good, too. Like I said- my soul will be in heaven with my daughter- so put my ashes where ever!
