I liked Alex Sink for governor. I voted Republican in some races, but i cast my vote for Sink in this one. Appears that voters tied her to Obama which hurt her in the end. But read what she says about the White House.

But when the candidate (Sink) criticized the White House response to the oil spill and specifically a summer speech by Vice President Joe Biden in a POLITICO article, an angry administration official called her to demand she ?walk back? her assessment, said two sources familiar with the situation.

Sink didn?t deny the exchange.

?I don?t follow anybody?s party line if I don?t think they?re on the right track,? she said when asked about the call.

HER OWN tv ads went beyond 'linking' her to Obama.
Apparently I missed Sink's public campaign statements as to what specific issues she opposes the Dem party or that she disagreed with the administration's handling of the oil spill?

I'm sure I'm not the only voter out there that finds opposition slam ads utterly despicable and a complete waste of time & money, regardless which party they stem from or direct at.

You are by far from being the only voter who abhors negative, dirty and despicable ads. The unfortunate part of it is, they seem to work. They certainly do with me. The first candidate or their supporters, that issue a negative ad, automatically loses my vote. They are only full of half truths and are truly unnecessary as they insult the intelligence of the voter.

So you didn't vote for Rubio or Scott?

I was just thinking the same thing. Scott's ads in particular- vicious and distorted messages right out of the gate. I remember standing in front of the TV and laughing at a guy like Scott trying to make out someone to be a worse human than himself. Alex kept it classy until she didn't have a choice- dragged in the gutter. It seemed to be quite awhile into the campaign before she even mentioned Scott's name.

Please note I said or supporters. I consider PBA such and their ads were extremely negative.

However their ads didn't come out until after both Scott and Rubio's. Once again you're contradicting yourself. Now get all indignant call me a libtard and storm off to dinner.

I have never called you a "libtard". That was somebody else. I may be contradicting myself and I may not. It depends on when I first saw the ad, not when it was first aired. I will say contradictory or not, that ad alone changed my mind about voting for Sink. It is really too bad as I had considered her strongly at one point. The election results have really gotten to you, haven't they, SWGB. Now, if you don't mind, I'll storm off to the Commission meeting.
