This is the side of a victim in this that was smack in the middle of it and physically and verbally assaulted by the wedding party and anyone that has anything different to say bring it on and I'll be happy to shut u down

My boyfriend and I were already treated wrongly by those drunk ahole tourists and no way will I put up with any so called locals running their mouth on something they know nothing about

That's because there was no arrest. Cops came and realized it was self defense. I hope that all of the people with their opinions and observations are as capable of defending themselves in the face of being harassed and attacked not to mention outnumbered by about 7 men.
I appreciate hearing your side of the story even though you're coming across as quite hostile. I wonder if you act this way on the beach?

I too am curious about who qualifies as a "local". I've been viewing the posts on this incident and would love to hear comments from the wedding party. I've always heard there's two sides to every story. The side we're hearing seems a little bizarre to me. Since I spent many years hosting weddings on the beach and renting beach chairs I for one realize that tourists are the lifeblood and income for most people in this area and should be treated with courtesy in order to maintain a good reputation for our community. I hate to think that one vendor and his so called girlfriend would provoke such a disturbance during a time that is so special in someones life as a wedding. Alcoholic outbursts should be confined to bars and backyards not public beaches where children and the elderly may be present. There is counseling available these days for alcohol abuse and anger issues.

I definitely wouldn't define a local as someone that tries to bash a man that has lived and worked here his whole life. Someone that countless people call on to pull them out when they get stuck down on the beach in Grayton . Both my boyfriend and I come from families that have been here for generations. We didn't just move here a couple years back and think we r the authority on everything 30-A like some people. When my great grandfather was alive here there was one cop for all of Walton county and people acting like that would have gotten their ass shot. Locals would have helped and protected each other not run around talking trash in defense of a bunch of drunk tourists. Yes contessa alcoholic outbursts shouldn't be in public places thanks for helping to make my point. The level of intoxication that the wedding party was under was something that the cops saw and why they understood our situation. And if u want to talk about provoking it was the wedding party that was doing that from the very beginning. We were verbally harassed for a good 20 minutes while doing our work!! The reason my post seem hostile is because the posts I saw on here were lies and it just makes an already ugly situation more disgusting to see so called locals saying ignorant gossip. There is a lot of jealous self righteous people around here always wanting to make themselves feel important or better than someone else. I'm not going to have that with our situation. You want to say my account is bizarre well ur damn right it is the situation was bizarre u should have been in it. Contessa how are u going to say we didn't show them courtesy or provoked them? Or to insinuate we were drunk? Were you there? Sounds like a case of someone running their damn mouth without knowing the facts again. You talk about them being our lifeblood so that gives them the right to harass and assault us??Money might rule you but it don't talk for me. As u see I don't hide behind a screen name I stand by what I say and it is the truth. I could of pressed charges but when u defend yourself although it protects u from getting in trouble it also kinda voids out being able to get the other party in trouble without a bunch of court and money and I didn't want to put my love through anymore drama. And why do y'all think the wedding party that your so quick to defend didn't press charges?? Cuz they were wrong. Unfortunately the only one around here that gets the full support of the law is the turtles but I'm very thankful that the cops involved could see the situation for what it was which is exactly how I tell it. Anyone else got anything to say bring it? I'll defend this all day long.
