I definitely wouldn't define a local as someone that tries to bash a man that has lived and worked here his whole life. Someone that countless people call on to pull them out when they get stuck down on the beach in Grayton . Both my boyfriend and I come from families that have been here for generations.

We didn't just move here a couple years back and think we r the authority on everything 30-A like some people. When my great grandfather was alive here there was one cop for all of Walton county and people acting like that would have gotten their ass shot. Locals would have helped and protected each other not run around talking trash in defense of a bunch of drunk tourists.

Yes contessa alcoholic outbursts shouldn't be in public places thanks for helping to make my point. The level of intoxication that the wedding party was under was something that the cops saw and why they understood our situation. And if u want to talk about provoking it was the wedding party that was doing that from the very beginning.

We were verbally harassed for a good 20 minutes while doing our work!! The reason my post seem hostile is because the posts I saw on here were lies and it just makes an already ugly situation more disgusting to see so called locals saying ignorant gossip.

There is a lot of jealous self righteous people around here always wanting to make themselves feel important or better than someone else. I'm not going to have that with our situation. You want to say my account is bizarre well ur damn right it is the situation was bizarre u should have been in it.

Contessa how are u going to say we didn't show them courtesy or provoked them? Or to insinuate we were drunk? Were you there? Sounds like a case of someone running their damn mouth without knowing the facts again. You talk about them being our lifeblood so that gives them the right to harass and assault us??

Money might rule you but it don't talk for me. As u see I don't hide behind a screen name I stand by what I say and it is the truth. I could of pressed charges but when u defend yourself although it protects u from getting in trouble it also kinda voids out being able to get the other party in trouble without a bunch of court and money and I didn't want to put my love through anymore drama.

And why do y'all think the wedding party that your so quick to defend didn't press charges?? Cuz they were wrong. Unfortunately the only one around here that gets the full support of the law is the turtles but I'm very thankful that the cops involved could see the situation for what it was which is exactly how I tell it. Anyone else got anything to say bring it? I'll defend this all day long.

According to the Police incident report there was a knife involved. According to the report Aggravated Assault charges may be pending and the vendor is the suspect and the girlfriend is a witness not a victim. As pointed out in a previous post, I was not present but I can understand the wedding party not wanting laborers in beach attire ruining their wedding photos. I'm sure if the tables were turned the posts would be much different but not everyone is able to view things from another perspective. It's sad that with the older generations passing, they sometimes take with them the manners, courtesy, morals, scruples and work ethics, that they tried so hard to pass on to the younger generations.

Well, that's one option. Apparently some viewers think I'm defending the wedding party over the beach chair vendor, not so. It appears that both sides acted irresponsibly. But it would seem that this type of behavior could potentially give a "black eye" to other beach chair vendors who were trying to conduct their business in a professional manner. Just sayin'!

I'm growing bored with this topic. I personally don't do social media internet stuff because I actually have a life. I only got on here because some other more supportive members of the community told me this situation was being talked about on here. Contessa you obviously fall under the jealous self righteous category and it seems like to me you have a personal vendetta against us for some reason. My story is what it is. I've told it and now I'm going back to my busy life. I recommend you get out and take a walk on our beautiful beaches, try yoga, cook a new dish , have sex. Jealousy is the fear of being supplanted: apprehensive of losing affection or position and since I don't know you that term doesn't fit the debate. Self Righteousness, well when you think yours is the only true path, you forever chain yourself to judging others and narrow the vision of God. The road to righteousness and arrogance is a parallel road that can intersect each other several times throughout a person's life. It's often hard to recognize one road from another.What makes them different is the road to righteousness is paved with the love of humanity and the road to arrogance is paved with the love of self. So I am flattered that you would think I'm "Self Righteous". I hope you can get back to your "Busy Life" and I will get back to mine because it's really not that much fun having a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.
