I wouldn't expect miracles from this stuff. I recall a Hagar the Horrible cartoon where Hagar is sitting in his doctor's office and asks what he can do to prevent hangovers;the doctor says "don't drink so much" to which Hagar replies "No, seriously, what can I do?"
These hangover cures come down the pipe every so often and fall within two categories:common remedies like ibuprofen, aspirin or aceteominophen plus an antacid dressed up in a fancy package
OR some new miraculous herbal/vitamin blend. Neither seem to work very well, or at least as well as the label implies. It is ironic that the pitch for the herbal/vitamin blend will be that acetominophen is linked to liver toxicity...yeah, and alcohol is like Miracle-Gro?
The worst symptoms people experience from alcohol have to do with fluid shifts in the body as the alcohol is metabolized. Try to drink plenty of plain old water if you plan on diving into the booze to blunt this effect. Don't drink on an empty stomach. And try to get a decent amount of sleep, even though studies show that when people go to bed drunk, they fail to reach the deep sleep required to refresh the body-hence the fatigue.
