After seeing this header a hundred times in my outlook. .. ... ....

This is the ONLY one I regret deleting each time . .. ... .... I am unequivically amazed with not only the actions, but the emotions those three displayed (and 3o + yrs ago at that)....THIS is true Love/Friendship.

I still have not watched it on my p.c. I was not able to make it through the Morning show without crying..

Yes-typo bomb me now :)

Isn't that just beautiful? And amazing that after all these years, it's reaching so many people in such a positive way. We are all starved (should I use that word in a post about a lion?) for feel-good stories these days, I suppose it's no wonder it's struck such a chord with people. The two guys in the follow-up interview yesterday on Today seemed truly awestruck at their newfound "celebrity" and used it in the best way - to ask for support for the wildlife cause. Further proof that you just never know how things will turn out.

I think you are so ri ght about the need for feel-good stories. I am almost leary of watching the news, or reading the papers as it is so much bad news.

I mean when you can't even go to church to see children perform a musical without getting shot, it is a sad world. :sosad:

This story was back on "Today" this morning. Apparently the dudes have a book out. The video STILL makes me weepy! (I noticed that the link was gone, so here it is again:)
YouTube - christian the lion

I can't find the clip from the show this morning (if anyone smarter finds it, post it!) but I thought it was interesting to hear the guys talk bout the difference between lions and other big cats.

The interviewer (I can't remember which one--it wasn't Meredith) said something about how Christian behaved more like a dog than a cat. They said that lions are more social than the other cats. They said that Christian was more sweet-tempered and friendly than the average lion, but that on the whole the cruelest thing you can do to a lion is to isolate it. If a lion can't find other lions to bond with, he will bond with whoever he can--they've even been known to bond with dogs.

Very sweet story. They are lucky men!
