Dry counties never made much sense to me, when you could buy it 20 miles away and the neighboring county made all the money? Like Alabama not having lottery, when most all of the states around it does. We are about to see something similar, if the situation progresses in Florala, Ala., and their tribal bingo issue. They will be having a whole new industry and a very large influx of cash, finally, but what of the consequences? How much money from locals will it draw? It's going to be something to watch for our area here.

It's unimaginable to me that anybody would find church on Sunday mornings to be odd, TV or no TV. And why pick on WJHG? It's also on WMBB, WPGX, WTVY, and pretty much all your local stations. Oh, but what a way to stir the pot. ;-)

btw, it's also on in the Washington DC / Baltimore market, so it's not just here. Only difference is that they do show several different faiths and it's hard to find Southern Baptist.

On a major network, yes. On a network affiliate's local programming, no.

You do realize that the Springfield Community Church and the First Methodist Church of Panama City are not broadcast by NBC, even though "Meet The Press" is wedged between them?
