There was no bold ;-).

I could really give a flip that the terrorists are killing conservatives with a capital C.

American lives all have equal value in my world.

We have a stated mission. How we carry out that mission and what legal precedents we set in the process matter - to the mission, to our country, to the world, and to future conflicts.

You can technically win a boxing match by shooting your opponent or taking his mother hostage. I prefer to win by being the better boxer, following the rules, and indisputably KO-ing my opponent.

I'd hate to be in your shoes explaining to your grandchild why their Mom and Dad were blown up by a terrorist that could have been prevented were it not for your values.

Oh boy Caps and Bold. Good bait but I'm not gonna bite... You do complain a lot though...

You have the means to protect Americans but opt not to. That's beyond pathetic, almost treasonous. If you're going to allow terrorists to kill Americans I hope they don't kill Conservatives.

Somewhere along the line some mistakenly think American values extend to terrorists.

Seeing as you think you know so much, why don't you give us a thorough explanation of the US laws that support your conclusions. This may come as a surprise to you, but the law is not based on some arbitrary emotional reaction that you have when things don't go your way.

Exactly what values is it that you think I have that allow terrorists to kill Americans and get away with it?

If you actually read my posts, I am not a big proponent of non-violence or subverting true justice - just want to make sure we don't miss the forest for the trees.

Step away from the talking points.

Oddly enough, that's exactly what the court's decicion was based on.

"We tried a guy (who the Bush Admin tortured and then held at GTMO for 4-plus years with no end game whatsoever) in a federal court before a NY jury with full transparency and international legitimacy and -- despite all of the legacy problems of the case (i.e., evidence getting thrown out because of Bush-Admin torture, etc,) we were STILL able to convict him and INCAPACITATE him for essentially the rest of his natural life, AND there was not one -- not one -- security problem associated with the trial."

Note the negative political message communicated by this administration about the last administration in their explanation of why this was a righteous verdict.

Holder should be fired.

IMO what you quoted stated "despite previous illegal actions and tainted evidence we still got a conviction without tainting the process in any way."

I don't think "we don't have to torture someone to properly make a case in a court of law" should so easily be dismissed as a negative political message.
