We've fought it now for a week- lots of ocean drops and Sudafed are keeping it from getting worse (recommended by Kate's allergist). I live in the House of Snot. :bang:

I have sinus issues and know where you're comin from. Ohio is the worst for that. Mine and my dd's Dr.'s told us to move. :) My daughter is allergic to EVERYTHING environmental and see's an allergist/pumonologist too. I think it all really started when she was Kate's age. I hope she's not as bad as mine. Sam has been wonderful though..she's been through so many breathing treatments, shots and medications. Most kids would not be so easy going about it. On another note, I'm feeling better today. Thank God for Zicam and Airborne!!

I have a perpetual dry nose/dry eye problem. I found a product that I love in lieu of Ocean Spray...."Nose Better Natural Mist Moisturizing Spray"...it's saline with a bit of glycerin. I probably just like the pun in the name, but it seems to work better.

I might have to get this just for the name!!

Molly had dissolving stitches. She needs a bath as well....but when it is so cold, we can't run around outside to get dry. I haven't taken her to a groomer yet, so I'll have to rely on the hairdryer!!

I've never had dogs with the fluffy hair that require baths/grooming, and I really don't know WHAT to do! I'm thinking maybe take them to a groomer the first time and get them trimmed up (their feet are like big dust mops) and "cioffed" and maybe I can take it from there. Fortunately, their hair dries really fast, but I bet Molly's hair takes forever with that undercoat!!

But we do have another use for the stupid "garden tub" in our bathroom- now it's not just Kate's swimming pool, but the dog bath!!

Groomers do a great job of making your dog look good. Our dogs go once a month and I bath them every week. Bichons are high maintenance. I have a small heater that blows out air that I use to dry them.. I am not coordinated enough to hold the dog, dry and brush.
