hee hee hee - you guys are all funny - my mom and sis are going thru some of the same things. my sis says mom doesn't even know she exists, she is just a carrying vessel for grandchildren. i don't travel with my mom because she drives me bonkers, she likes to try to embarass my hubby because he's so quiet and that gets kinda old. my in-laws usually go to florida with us for a few days, and no probs there, although i have to watch my mouth around them, i tend to cuss and they don't like that.

That was sweet of you. I can totally relate...I did the same thing at a Bob Evans when Dylan was 5 months old. He slept through the whole thing but I was freaking out. The police came to unlock the door. The cop was a total jerk, made me feel like sh&^ and broke the lock too. I was just happy when it was all over.

I locked her in my car when she was a tiny thing. Was going for the first visit to the peditrician's office and got the diaper bag, the purse, all the other "stuff" and just locked her right in! It was also July in Ga. Thank goodness, in that day and age a coat hanger did the trick!

Oh my! I hope she could sleep last night! Did you tell her that in 20 years, this story will come up at holiday dinners, and she will be teased?:rotfl: Tell her some of  the best parenting stories are the ones that were awful at the time....

I am going to call her later. Bless her heart.

Reading all these comments makes me feel better....I, too, have locked my child in a car. Although it's been many years (she's 16 now), I still remember it. She was just at the age where she wanted the keys (you know, SCREAMING for them). I gave them to her while I folded up the stroller, etc...for the trunk. Too bad I closed her door after getting her into the child seat and she pressed the lock button on the remote! It was a cool day but it took an hour or so for my husband get the spare keys. He arrived about the same time the police unlocked the car. Poor kid cried herself to sleep and I was a wreck!! Anyway, she doesn't remember it now :clap_1:

So wasn't this thread about beach conditions :dunno: ???????

These kinds of things can happen at the beach, too!

One beach comment here: We were surprised how WIDE the beach has gotten. And how hard-packed the sand is compared to its usual fluffiness. It's really easy to walk on and play ball on now. Of course that might change by spring or summer, though. That's the beauty of the beach. It's always different.

As long as I can still "tangentize" a conversation and then bring it back around I'll take the job  !

You get 10 points for correct use of 'Tangentize"!
