Everyone I know locally is now sick with covid. The pervading thought is "just get it over with" but after being safe for 2 years I'm not willing to give up my health that easily and I have family responsibilities which require me to stay well. I choose to stay on course with safety protocols!

“Just get it over with” as in they believe you can’t it again? I guess with each new variant they will “Just get it over with” again.

I have been thinking for a few weeks now that the Omicron variant is maybe our way out of this pandemic. The reason being that we will not convince everyone to get the vaccine. Omicron is not as dangerous and it is the prevalent variant at the moment. I think we should live more normal lives but with common sense. If we are in a crowded area inside a building we should still wear a mask but otherwise I believe now is the time to build immunity with Omicron. We do not want a heavy loading dose of Omicron maybe but we need to get it! I believe that there is reason to support this way of dealing with the pandemic. There is always risk but since we will not get everyone to get the vaccine then this seems to be the only way to end this pandemic because it WILL continue to mutate...

Dumbest thing I’ve read this year. Many hospitals and staff are at their breaking point and you want to infect hundreds of thousands because they won’t take a jab for some ridiculous political stance.
More infections can lead to more mutations. These selfish pricks need to get vaccinated.
