LL, Neutrogena's Norweigean (sp) moisturizer works well, as does Burt's Bees products and Lubriderm. The trick to reduce the greasy feeling is to start with a very small amount and let it be absorbed into your skin. (only minimizes; you can't entirely get rid of the slick feel for the big-guns moisturizer products 
).
Also, use milder cleansers--the French milled soaps with olive oil are the best. Do you have a Tuesday Morning or TJ Maxx by you? They always have imported high-fat soaps that cost about $3-4, as opposed to double that in specialty shops. The mass-produced soaps that you get at the drug and grocery stores are too harsh for this time of year and contribute to the cracked, dry skin.

I highly recommend Neutrogenia's Norwegian Formulas as well as Burt Bee's products. I am addicted to their lip balm!

Landlocked....when I took my son to the doc (ok he lives next door) he said the soap you use to wash your hands should be very mild, like the soap in a public restroom would be terrible on your hands...makes it worse
he told me to buy hydrocortisone plus..with aloe, maximum strength...it has worked wonders in two days.
