Yes, unless you are BB in which case it never gets dirty in the first place.
Oddly enough as we speak/type/read about this I decided in my infinite wisdom to do the whole self cleaning thing. Can I tell you I have all doors, an windows open freezing my big ones off!!!! And cant believe how long 4 1/2 hours really is!!!!!! I mean really this is just crazy!!!
I rent so it's not like I own, maybe it will break and then the land lord can just replace it with a brand new unit, sounds like a great plan huh???
Only thing is I actually like my landlord!

The guy told me this morning when he brought the new "board" --"NEVER use the self-clean". It pisses me off so much that they put the self-clean option on there and they KNOW eventually it's gonna fry your board!
I know...I need psychiatric help. I need to get over this. I'm sure something else will come along shortly to distract me.
