Some S'wallers were commenting on enjoying him in another thread. I have read his name on here before but just finally tuned in to him over the weekend while I was listening to "This American Life" (I suppose) as he read some of his work. Here is another clip that was good stuff.

He is absolutely fantastic..Have you read his book When You Are Consumed In Fire? I laugh so hard at his writings I can only manage a page or two before I am forced to put it down and breathe...

OMG! You know he has a website now! http://www.youcantkilltherooster.com/ He sells bbq sauce and tshirts. I head David say that "The Rooster" will call him in the middle of the night (when he is in France and the rooster does not keep up with the time difference) and tell him everytime somone goes on his site and buys something.

This may have been my favorite passage in the book "When You're Engulfed in Flames". I laughed so hard I needed my very own "Pal".

I can't stop wondering how Rooster's "loving form of familial address" would go over with my folks. We've put them to many tests over the years...
but NEVER have we "gone Rooster" on 'em! It's an everlastingly fascinating fantasy consideration!
