I doubt you are oblivious to the the obvious lawyer fees, you are taking time of county employees like code enforcement and sheriff, diverting attention from business we should be doing, wasting time and money. If you are concerned about property rights then there are betterways to spend your time. You have no rights to destroy dunes. It is against humanity's interest and stains your soul. Sea level rise and hurricanes are mother nature's revenge and you will suffer!
FACTS:
- The County, "influenced" by SJW locals for the most part, initiated the legal action that is taking place. So I take it you are OK with the County spending millions of taxpayer monies on this suit that may take years to end. I am not. The BFO's are funding the legal fees on both sides.
- There was NO EFFORT made by the WCC to meet, negotiate, discuss, etc.. with BFO's to reach a common ground or solution to their perception of a problem. Mr. Huckabee offered an option for discussion that was NEVER considered by the WCC. Why?
- You must not have a problem with 50% of Public Beach areas "reserved" for vendors to operate. If so, let the WCC know that. There really is very little issue of beach sand availability for public use through the year. It is THE FRONT ROW AVAILABILITY that leads to people moving on to private property areas.
- I personally am always aware and respectful of EVERYONE'S property rights. Are you? And I agree with you that there are better ways to spend my time than fighting for my own personal property. And I will as soon as this ridiculousness is over.
- Regarding my beachfront property, at my cost, fencing and native grasses have been in place and nourished by local professionals. And I will continue to do all in my power to keep the dunes in great shape. As do all the other BFO's I know.
- As I have noted here previously, members of both the TDC and WCC have stated to me there is a "bigger problem with parking than beach availability". True statement.
- And why isn't there more promotion of the MILES of public beach available? Plenty of parking, bathroom access, ease of entry, etc.....
- Progressives are typically not interested, nor respectful, of facts. They rather drive their wants / needs on emotional issues that are for "the common man". They typically do not have any interest in a workable solution to an issue and will fan the flames of public sentiment to try and reach their goal - "just give me what I want and all is fine". Does it bother you, or any CU supporter, that the WCC made no effort to "work" with the BFO's on this issue? What is in it for the WCC's?
- I am open to a workable solution - no question. And I will also defend my property rights every day when others try to take away what is legally mine.
Throughout this whole issue, what is discussed on this forum and in the 30A area, I have yet to hear a CU supporter come up with ACTUAL FACTS to support their position. It is ALWAYS their opinion.
Maybe today is a good day for that to start.
