This raises an interesting question. Who sends out more fictitious propaganda email, the left or the right.? I would say the right by far. I've never received one of these from anyone on the left. I think it's because most would be embarrassed and even ashamed if they spread easily debunked information. This doesn't seem to matter to conservatives for some reason. I wonder why not.

Precisely. I've been e-mailing since about 1995, and I cannot remember ever getting anything with a leftist lean, much less ones with such a blatant disregard for the truth. And everybody knows I'm a Democrat.

Back to the beginning: Lynnie, if I understand you correctly, if your motive for posting this e-mail was to hightlite what was in the health reform bill that we don't know about, why post a fabricated email about something that is not in the bill. Poor logic...or blatant propaganda...you decide.

Then why title the thread dhimmitude? You would have sounded much more credible to have titled it Religious Exemption and opened with a discussion on the subject.

Yes, but that is not what your email/thread said. It specifically said it was and used it as the basis of the email. It even gave the supposed page number of where "dhimmitude" was used in the bill as part of Obama's evil Muslim socialist conspiracy.

The reality is that all the bill says is that groups like the Amish who already have a special legal/tax status because of their religion can opt out.

I am not trying to single you out, just frustrated because I am SO tired of political discussions and important issues being reduced to this level of outright lies and fear-mongering.

And I am SO tired of Muslims (and our legally elected Christian President through false association) being made targets of the idiotic fear.

It is my intention this afternoon to get totally drunk (at home, of course) cook chile and cogitate on how dumb, stupid and uninformed, as well as equipped with knee jerk reactions us Conservative who post here are. Knee jerk reactions fit well with what I did for l6 years, Poppy. I don't know where you and "some" others ascertain the fact that all us Conservatives are uninformed, uneducated and need someone to take care of us and make sure we survive in this very cruel world. The elitist attitude of those on the left rears its ugly head once again. I'm sorry if this offends you but it is exactly how many of your posts and "some" others come across to me. If I am wrong, fellow Conservatives, please correct me and explain why. By the same token, liberals need not reply.
