You realize you just quoted two of the tag lines they feed us in hope that we'll bite. They got you.

A fish does not see the water in which it swims. Dems see (the left leaning) CNN as the voice of reason. Repubs see (the right wing) FOX as Fair and Balanced. All news is filtered through some kind of political strain, if you haven't learned that by now you may be the kind of person easily swayed by propaganda. A perfect TV news viewer. They got you.

If anyone was really, truly interested in getting both sides of the story, then "deciding for themselves", they'd watch CNN, FOX and most importantly, the international news agency reports, and then decide. Please dont think one network is giving you the whole story.

Thank you Thumper :clap_1: That is the smartest thing I have read all week. Linda, don't take offense by his comment, everyone else who read it was thinking the same thing. We are all programmed consumers and the sooner it is pointed out to us the sooner we can stop parotting corporations and start thinking for ourselves. If we can't watch a news channel without being angry, we are not unbiased.

Can you name one? Just one, other than Alan Colmes? You may not like the way Thumper said it, but he is correct.
That gravely voiced chick that was all over the OJ trial. If you've heard her speak before and didn't want to put a gun to your head you are a much better and more tolerant man than I.

LOVE IT!! :lolabove:

Back to "discrimination" (or whatever is the correct term) by Mother Nature, why is it that men can suck in the muscles of their typically most unattractive physical flaw (big bellies) to make them look smaller, but women can't suck in the muscles of their typically most unattractive physical flaw (big butts) to make them look smaller? Not fair.

Just about every time I see a photo of a guy over 21, he's sucking in his belly.

I've lost a lot of sleep over this profound question.

I think big butts are a beautiful thing!! From a biological stand point big butts usually mean good for having babies, while big stomachs are usually the first signs of poor health. Show off your butt!!! There are many of us buttless folks who will envy you.

Actually many Polynesian cultures equate big bellies with status. I had a Samoan man tell me once that it shows "I have eaten well, and not been eaten myself."

I tend to think of my gut as a long term investment in time and money. Alot of both went into creating it.
