Do you text or talk on the cell while you drive?

I think natural selection will take care of the texter/drivers. They may take a few of us with them, but oh well.

That is so true. Everyone of y'all stop it!!!!!

I have tried to talk and drive and I noticed a complete change in my driving skills. Scary. The idea of me texting and driving is lunacy.

I'm doing a presentation at a conference this fall on texting, emailing, and social media. In my research, I ran across an article where a university did a study finding that 18 wheeler drivers are 23% more likely to wreck while texting, 6% more likely to wreck for talking on the cell phone. Lots of articles about texting etiquette, even Peggy Post has commentary on not texting at the table!

I know, but what can you do? OK I admit, I'm hoping that I'm not one of the innocents during the time which our population is "pruned" of the texters.

Question.. hands free cell phoning talking in the car, is it safer.... yay or nay?

According to most European countries, no. Really anything that distracts you from driving makes it unsafe to do. I really try to concentrate when I drive, but every once in a while I suddenly realize that I don't remember the last couple of miles.
