All this time I thought you were a chick.

I am a chick kurt, just not the girlie, girl type. I am actually just a country chick. Not much into the fancy, smancy stuff...not that there is anything wrong with it, just not me. ;-)

I was wondering how much of my winter stuff I could leave behind.
Do people wear turtlenecks and stuff like that in January, or is it warmer than that?

If you're used to winters in Denver, SoWal winters will not phase you. You'll be out there dressed like we would in July.

Several pairs of flip-flops of varying sizes and colors, including one "dress up" pair with sequins (glue gun for shoe repair), a couple of J. Crew tee-shifts, two pairs of generic shorts, and a collection of faded tee-shirts from local shops. Also, a 6-pack of cotton underduds from any department store (or Walmart for fans of same). My husband likes any venue where he could stop at a Publix Market or Safeway and buy his wardrobe for the week. He keeps one nice silk old Hawaiian print shirt with a pair of black linen pants for those big nights at a restaurant with white linen napkins (usually someone else's idea). Our dog, Butter has one Hawaiian print shirt and a red dress leash for those special occasions where he gets to dine al fresco . He prefers bottomless in all situations, however. (You think I'm kidding about the shirt??? )

The answer for me is not so much what I wear when I'm in FL but what I don't wear when I'm in FL :D

RO - nail on head!!!

we don't wear most stuff.

I like to wear mainly shorts, bathing suits, t-shirts / wife beaters (I prefer clean), shorts, birkies or flip flops, and jeans and sweats in the winter on occasion. maybe cowboy boots too. that's it. it's a good thing too because shopping around here is still limited as H. E. Double Toothpicks.

cute shoes are fun but not required.

thongs? nah. just get stuck.
