I was wondering how much of my winter stuff I could leave behind.
Do people wear turtlenecks and stuff like that in January, or is it warmer than that?

For visits north, I still hold on to a couple of different weight fleece jackets and long sleeve shirts. I do often wear pants in the winter, but usually, just add socks to go on the feet before the Birks. In the cold weather here, a couple of tee shirts with a light fleece for layers suits me fine. Unless I am on the beach just sitting in the cold wind. Then I break out my heavy fleece. Mostly, just one wardrobe. I think the last time I wore pants was around March. The last time I wore socks, about the same time. Jacket would fall into March too. Long sleeve shirts, maybe Feb.
Welcome to the Beach!:D

I will add that once you acclimate, you may find yourself getting cold when temps drop below 70 degrees F.

Thanks, SJ and Landlocked.
Yes, I thought about the above. Fine by me.
We have a lot of Katrina evacuees here. In this beautiful, golden September weather, they declare they are staying, but I wonder if they will feel the same way after the first snowstorm--and then the one after that, and so on. Denver winters are fairly mild, but they tend to begin early and stay late.
