It is my understanding that Citgo doesn't own Tom Thumb. Tom Thumb has a contract with Citgo to sell Citgo their fuel and gas.
Don't Buy Citgo!

Okay...buy your gas from Old Joe's Filling Station and Tanning Bed in Arab, AL. He has great pickled eggs too! Either way, you can get gas.

Kroger owns Tom Thumb, and they employ quite a few folks here in the panhandle. They are also good to the non-profits around here.

There was a kid in Houston named Kevin Archer who helped his mom pump gas at a Houston Citgo and complained about feeling sick when they got home. It got so bad they went to the hospital and poor Kevin died in the ER. The autopsy showed he had a needle puncture on his right index finger and elevated blood levels of narcotics. It turns out that jerk Chavez has been putting used heroin needles on the pump handles being sent to Citgo stations in the USA. This is 100% true-it was in the Houston Chronicle.;-)
Gas at some stations here is $2.00 a gallon. My husband and I avoid buying gas at any Citgo.
