Wow! If you come to Indy to see them on the 10th, give a holler. We live just minutes from downtown. We're driving to Seagrove again on the 11th (my husband has the day off so we're heading out early) so we'll miss that weekend's events, but if I can watch the bands on the Thursday you know I'll be there!
We'll be there, but we usually get roped into chaperone (herding cats) and other "support" duties [tear-a**ing across field hauling flimsy "props", trying not to trip over feet and generally make an a** of oneself] - keep us pretty darn busy ;-)

Yep that... Now, the drumset in house - another thing entirely [though he does really dig old jazz stuff] - working on finishing basement in new house, incorporating considerable soundproofing in walls and ceiling :D

So cool! I didn't want to like the movie Drumline, but it is pretty neat to watch.
I can't count how many times that one's spun up at home - don't know if you can wear out a DVD, but son's probably giving that one a run for the money...

Man I love the sound of a marching band. There is a highschool near my house and I love to hear them on Friday nights.

LL, I could hear a marching band from my house in Mtg., too. I always heard them Thursdays during their practice and Friday before the game.

Why is it that those big marching bands give you chill bumps? Am I the only one that this happens to?

Hey Otter,
I though I read on some thread that you were a drummer. You migh appreciate the work that went into this (vid clip - pretty grainy, unfortunately - I didn't do the conversion):
Drumline
Couldn't resist showing off my boy & his buddies doin' one of their their things (mine's center snare - in the center ;-)). These guys are only HS sophomores & Juniors now - things are probably gonna get even more interesting next year. :D

Petty tight  Tell him to stick with drumming. They get the best chicks :D . Tell him to see Drumline. Kinda "Top Gun For Drummers" but some serious drummin

Naw - me too. Partly from watching all the sweat, time, and dicipline that goes into producing a lousey 15 minutes of "performance". Partly just 'cause it looks & sounds so cool when it's done well...

You missed one of the earlier posts - I think he's probably run his copy of that every couple of months or so since we bought it for him. ;-)
