In the "old days", there was a great produce stand on the north side of 98 at the east end of 30A. The best peaches and tomatoes you could ever have wanted. Guess his tent wasn't "upscale" enough for the neighborhood...

I remember that place. It got damaged in a little Cat. 1 storm called Barry in 2001. After that it just disappeared.

That stand was greatly loved by the "upscale" neighborhood. Unfortunately, they had to relocate due to the construction and mess when Hwy 98 was made into 4 lanes. The stand/owner are now in PCB on the corner of Hwy 98 and Hwy 79 in the Chevron parking lot.

OMG...I think that is the name of the storm that followed us all the way from Texas to Seaside. I refused to not check-in and we rode it out!!! Mr. K woke up and said..."Hey Sue...the house is moving...now the bed is moving!!!" He was a skeerdy cat!

We sat it out in a house in Paradise by the Sea (Charlie Hilton's 'hood) It was our second of a 2 week vacation and GTTBD was not about to abandon ship...well, house. It sucked the ceiling out of the 3rd story bedroom. He snored thru it I went downstairs and all east side windows were leaking. We spent the remainder of the night moping water up, and hovering on the lower floor. We had just signed a contract on our Seacrest house the day before. It all worked out and in retrospect, Barry was a walk in the park compared to the last couple of seasons!
