No she would have stayed I think. I'm not sure she is the one wanting this separation. I see her as a woman who would do anything to keep her family intact.
I wish her strength as this must be overly painful to be in the headlines daily.

I think she had had it.

I don't know how this man sleeps at night. What a piece of human waste. He has no shame. I pray that Elizabeth's cancer stays at bay for 20 or more years and she moves on to find joy. I feel so bad for his children.

He's certainly killed any political future he might have - you can spin and bounce back from a lot of things, but cheating on your wife when she has cancer and then instututing a major cover-up and publicly denying your own flesh and blood tend to stick w/ voters. :angry:

I saw an interesting interview with the staffer that he had asked by Edwards to say he was the baby daddy, and the staffer's wife- sorry I can't remember their names, but he just wrote the tell all book about the Edwards.

Anyway, according the them, Elizabeth wasn't too great herself. Of course this doesn't mean that John is any less of a jerk, but this isn't the first time that I have heard that she isn't a saint. It sounds like she may have been right there with him in the coverup to make sure they kept on that road to the White House.

Yep, I was going to say this. I read an article in New York Mag about how she constantly berated and belittled him and his staff.

Of course she is not a saint. Who is? I have heard a lot of comments about her personal ambition. I don't know who would want to be in the public eye. My thoughts for her are heartfelt and I bet her perspective on life has changed. No one deserves the treatment she has had. He really makes me sick. For him to show up Haiti the other day. I think he did it to divert the news that was coming out that day about his aide and his tell all. Enough of that. Thanks for listening. He just really bothers me.

My take on him, is he is scum of the worst kind.

Mrs. Edwards, has lost a child, had a husband cheat on her and has cancer, I figure she gets a break on any bad behavior on her part.

I watched the 20/20 interview with Andrew Young the author of the tell all and I did not get the impression, Elizabeth knew the entire truth until recently. She was told he had a one night fling and the baby was Andrew's.

The only people talking much about what happened is Andrew Young and his wife and the mistress Rielle Hunter.
