and why??

I have several subscriptions running out and instead of renewing I thought I would try something new.....

My 2 faves

1. Real Simple- has lots of information from every aspect. Love the organizing part and the tools with 2 uses section...

2. Taste of Home- magazine that is nothing but recipes and cooking info. THe best part, no advertising!!!! They also have great pictures of the finished product which I love as well...

Economist for news. It's more expensive than Time and Newsweek combined, and worh every penny.

Wallpaper for design/fashion/architecture.

Metropolitan Home and Western Interiors & Desgin for the home stuff.

Martha Stewart Living, even though I never cook or make anything from there, it's just so nice to read through.

Florida Trend is an interesting read about what's really going on in the state.

...I always turned to this first in the dentist's office.

I am down on magazines right now. Last year, I cut back on subscriptions and they still send me offers. :bang: One mag is really getting on my last nerve...Vanity Fair (I do love this one). I have a subsciption that runs out in 2009 and they are sending me "last chance" notices.

I'm a magazine junkie.

My faves right now are Cottage Living, Real Simple, Coastal Living, and Texas Monthly. If I could, I would subscribe to many more. I just don't have time to read them!

Me too. I love magazines! I also like the same ones as you, especially Real Simple because it's packed with info you can really use like everything from the best bar of soap to buy to "Dear Abby" advice for everyday situations. And it's always so thick. It takes me days to plow through it. Oh, I like Coastal Living too because I like photos with water in them, whether it's a cottage on a lake, the gulf, whatever. And it's always fun when someone is in the magazine that you know, like the time Chickpea was in the Alys Beach article.

I used to love Smithsonian and National Geographic when they were more scholarly but now both of them are lightweights. Try too hard to be hip and current when all I want is staid and stodgey like they used to be. :sosad:
