There is a big difference between living in peace and living in complete peace. Every day, there is a battle in someone's life, we all experience it in one way or the other. For some, the battles are external and for others, the battles are internal. Living in peace can mean different things to different people. Peace is state of mind.I'd love to live in peace, but I realize that in the real world, different from LightWorker world, it's not at all possible.
A brave man dies one death, but a coward dies a hundred. --or something like that. I cannot remember who said it, but the idea now comes to mind. Why live in fear? I think we all need a little fear here and there. Fear can be a great motivator, and it can also be a great thorn in the foot. For that matter, so can love. The two are really not that different in many respects. Sure, they can be on different ends of the line, but they are emotions, and they both shape us into the people we become. So love or fear?
Are you suggesting that love is the light and fear is the darkness? I'm not sure what you are trying to say.Better to light one small candle
than to curse the darkness. - Chinese Proverb
Are you suggesting that love is the light and fear is the darkness? I'm not sure what you are trying to say.
Love often leaves us with pain and suffering, and fear sometimes lights the wick of the candle.
To me that is seperate from spreading love with our words and deeds. Planting seeds of love instead of fear is a gift that we should all freely give. You can't just answer a simple question can you hunny?I've not limited myself to those two choices.
Then I feel really REALLY sorry for you. You have to believe that you can make change before you are capable of it!I'd love to live in peace, but I realize that in the real world, different from LightWorker world, it's not at all possible.
I never said anything about anyone being burned by love, nor did I mean that. Not that it is my business but SJ - be burned by being in love and spreading love, friendship and joy are two different things.
Great quotes.... King's quote says it all. My older brother was interviewed by Rickover before service on nuclear subs. Rickover would try to freak you out to see if you could handle being underwater for weeks on end in a giant metal tube. His methods worked, as he was a genius. I am no fan of Truman, but he served in the worst of times. Mohandas Ghandi-- "An eye for an eye ends up making the whole world blind"..... I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."...."It is easy enough to be friendly to one's friends. But to befriend the one who regards himself as your enemy is the quintessence of true religion. The other is mere business"...." The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong"...."Be the change that you want to see in the world".I would rather have peace in the world than be President.
-- Harry S. Truman

Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.

The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war.
