Right here!
Not sure if tech geek stuff like this is interesting for most SoWal'r, but none the less.. Mozilla released a new version of Firefox last week that sports a number of cool new features, including faster browsing and javascript, better security, safe browsing features, GEO location, and prelim support for various Win7 features.

If you run IE on Windows, you might want to check this out as an alternative, IMHO firefox is really more user friendly in a lot of ways. If you're on a Mac and use Safari, Firefox is a far more secure and feature rich, well worth the upgrade.

You can download the latest version from their site - www.getfirefox.com

Is it Beta? I'm not a fan of those, but I use mine for work.

Nope, they released the final last week. Once you have it installed future minor updates will come to you automatically. You can also install it along side IE to play with it, just uncheck the "make firefox my default browser" checkbox in the install. It's not invasive - it won't mess with your system.

I currently use FF as my primary browser. I am aware of the minor updates they send out from time to time. If you visit any sites with SSL certificates you might remember the one a couple months back that caused them to be unrecognizable by FF. Aside from the occasional fubur like that I still like it much better than IE (Impossible Executable).

I'm not so sure, server side companies like Google have a long history of failing miserably on the client side.

In the past the was very true, but with the ability to serve almost anything now companies like Google will thrive.

Rumor has it that youtube is about to roll out basic video editing online with splice, transitions, etc. Currently you can replace the sound track and add text.

only if Google dumps a crap load of money into r&d, will I be using Chrome as my primary browser. I have it and try it on occasion, but FF is superior. I've been beta testing FF 3.1 beta 2, and it seems to work well. Not sure if FF 3.5 is final version of the beta 2. I'll check it out. thanks. i love me some FF

YouTube is about to dump support for IE7 and below. Everybody will be forced to upgrade to IE8 or use FF or Chrome, anyway, at some point...
