Thanks guys! She had a great first day. Like I thought, it was harder on me! I guess now, the real fun starts!

Yesterday we had conferences but today is our official first day. I'm a little sad summer's over. Back to the schedules, homework and the daily running. They were both excited for the first day.I can't wait to hear how it all went.

Thanks you guys. She is a little princess in the making. Just ask her brother! All of our friends were done having babies when she was born, so she was used as the "oh wouldn't it be nice to have a baby for a day" child :) They still spoil her rotten. (In a good way) Mr. Seagrovelover still can't say no to her!

Ok SGL...here are all the kids

Are these all yours? They are so cute! Ahh! I love it! Are they stairsteps? What are their ages?

What a great post this is! It's been like a trip down memory lane to look at those adorable kids. Yesterday we drove four hours to bring our eldest to college. The tears dripped down my cheeks all all the way back because I remember those grade school days, too, and still can't believe that my baby is old enough to go to college...it happens before you know it! One minute they're not even tall as your shoulder and the next, you're not as tall as their shoulder! I think ALL first days of school are doozies!

Ocean Lover, yes, we were going to leave Saturday. First get our boy safely settled into college life and then down to Seagrove Beach to start renovating. I've been glued to this forum nearly the whole day, obsessively watching and reading and it's all been really sobering. Hurricanes are no laughing matter! I'm disappointed we won't be able to go--you know, you get it in your mind that something is going to happen and then when your plans are derailed, it's maddening. I hate having to wait to see my beach again.

I feel guilty about even saying that when our stakes on the beautiful Emerald Coast are so small (Beach Runner's 70 or is it 80 windows and doors come to mind--we only have one picture window to worry about!) and we don't live there day in and day out like some do. But still, I'm sick about this hurricane. No matter where it hits.

But back to the first day of school now: I left the porch light on for my boy and then realized that he wouldn't be coming in tonight. Treasure your grade school days! They go so quickly!

Mermaid, sorry that we will miss you this go around, but there will be brighter days ahead. I know what you mean about having plans, which you have looked forward to for so long, be thrown aside due to unforseen circumstances. It stinks! You will make it through with a little time. We will see you on the beach someday in the future.:D
