Well, UF is #2 in the AP poll, the problem is that they are #3 in both Harris and USA Today/Coaches polls. BCS rankings are derived from Harris and USA Today, not AP (this is how USC weaseled a claim to a national championship in 2003). If Florida, USC and Ohio State all win out, it is unlikely the Gators would be in the BCS championship game. Auburn can tell you all about that sick feeling.

Exactly. USC wins a squeeker against Washington or other so-so teams and never budges, but Auburn not blowing-out South Carolina results in the poor Aubbies dropping.

This is true. Though I still view the AP poll as more legit. Anyhoo if the Gators run the table (BIG if) I can't imagine they wouldn't be in the BSC championship, because their schedule is so ridiculous. Too early to worry about such things regardless.

I don't remember the specifics or where I saw it, but I saw something on TV that basically mapped out how Auburn would not get to go to Tempe if they, OSU and USC won out (before the piggies beat AU of course). Just gotta hope one of those guys stumbles.

We were just talking about NOLA. But could we get a room? We aren't going to Tempe -- too many bad memories. We flew out for the national championship when the Gators played Nebraska, didn't have tickets, and bought them on the street for a boatload of money. The Gators were so blown out by Nebraska that we left at the end of the first quarter (not to mention the fact that there were, like, 10 people in the stadium in orange and blue), went back to The Arizona Biltmore, changed from orange/blue to black, and went out to dinner. Not a good day.

But if any of you get to Tempe, you *must* eat at Los Dos Molinos. The salsa is so spicy there that I thought I was having a seizure when I ate it. It was like a wave of strange sensations going from by head all the way down my back. I almost called 911. The food is awesome.
