it's an uphill battle against the repubs who want to gut public education and promote religious schools. the answer is to fund our schools. cig tax/gas tax, intangible tax...even income tax if that's what it takes.

What is an effective level of funding? Where should these funds be spent? Will higher teacher salaries increase performance or do schools need more computers and software?

As a "repub" I am wary of any call for additional taxpayer input without some explanation of how the funds will be used. JFYI, I don't want to "gut public education and promote religious schools."
