Flying Down the Internet Superhighway

Well I finally did it, I got a new super computer, Dual core processor, tons of hard drive, fast as lightning and I got rid of AOL and using Mozilla.

After 10 years of dial up I am speeding along on DSL and loving it.

My new computer has Vista Home Premium and love it, can't imagine why anyone would not. I love the Gadgets such as the big clock and calendar and note pad on desktop.

I am simply in computer heaven. I had saved over 300 photos on my flash drive when my computer crashed and I imported them to the new computer in seconds, they were simply " just there". No waiting or nothing, I am simply blown away. I can now view all the "you tube" postings, not sure if that is a good thing or not but now I have the option. But I can definitely enjoy the fabulous photos Kurt shares and I can even put photos on my Gadget slide show on my desktop and as I am surfing the Net I can see beautiful photos of SoWal passing by.

I feel like I traded in my clunker for a Lamborghini.

Oh yea, I got a hair cut and lost 20 pounds, I feel like a new person.

I am almost ashamed to say the computer sat in its box for over a month, I was just leary of tackling all the new things to learn. But my daughter shamed me into doing it.

Now I just have to figure out how to use everything on it. I am still having challenges adjusting the default for email and such and deciding if I want a home page, etc.

But I am sure eventually I will figure it out.

And Yes Rita's emoticon of the spinning computer chair is about how I felt, when I turned it on.

Actually I just did what I should do all the time, smaller portions, more exercise, and cut out high fat and sugar items. More fruits, vegetables and protein. It was not quick but I think I can keep on this. More of a lifestyle change, than a diet. Also I drink only water now.
